Specialties

Acupuncture

This 3,000 year old therapy which comes from traditional Chinese medicine, involves the insertion of very then needles into the body at strategic points. Acupuncture can help decrease stress and depression symptoms. Increased blood flow to target areas can reduce inflammation and stimulate the body’s ability to heal itself.

Cupping

A form of alternative medicine, cupping utilizes cups to create localized suction on the skin. Improving blood circulation to the skin stimulates healing and has wide ranging benefits.

Gua Sha

This therapy, originating from traditional Chinese medicine uses a smooth-edged tool to stimulate the skin. The practitioner strokes target areas using the tool which creates a "lifting" effect. Stimulating the skin in this way promotes blood flow and reduces inflammation.

Moxibustion

Mugwort leaves are dried and ground into small pieces (becoming moxa), which are burned near target points on the body. This treatment is used to alleviate headaches, muscle stiffness, and fatigue.
